Raised in Massachusetts, Erik spent his summers in Northport, Maine—experiences that sparked a lifelong love for sailing and being on the water. That passion led to time as a sailing instructor, delivery captain, and eventually the foundation of Ekberg Yachting. Erik holds a 25-ton USCG Master’s License and has logged more than 10,000 offshore nautical miles, with practical experience at sea informing every aspect of his work.

Prior to launching Ekberg Yachting, Erik spent six years with Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding in Camden, where he worked in yacht brokerage and marine marketing. During his time there, he supported yacht sales, client relationships, and marketing initiatives, gaining a well-rounded perspective on both the transactional and operational sides of yacht ownership.

While performance sailboats remain his true passion—particularly racing throughout the Gulf of Maine—Erik has come to appreciate the full spectrum of boating. Whether sail or power, classic or cutting-edge, he believes every boat has a story, and every owner deserves the right support to enjoy it fully. At Ekberg Yachting, he brings that philosophy to life through personalized brokerage, yacht management, and delivery services tailored to each client’s needs.
