Ethan Ekberg brings a strong mix of practical experience and offshore know-how to Ekberg Yachting. Like his brother Erik, he spent his summers in Northport, Maine, where a lifelong passion for sailing and life on the water took hold. After working as a sailing instructor and racing along the Maine coast, Ethan began his professional yachting career aboard CACHE, a 78’ Oyster sailing yacht where he worked on deck while captaining the vessel’s 43’ Intrepid tender.

Ethan recently moved aboard BLUE GRYPHON, an 83’ Prout catamaran, where he can be found sailing throughout the Bahamas. His experience spans daily vessel operations, maintenance planning, owner support, and offshore passagemaking, all of which have helped shape his steady, capable approach on the water.

He holds a 100-ton USCG Master’s License and has completed numerous offshore passages, combining sound seamanship with a calm, solutions-oriented mindset. Today, Ethan helps support Ekberg Yachting’s brokerage, management, and delivery services, bringing reliability and professionalism whether at the helm or behind the scenes.
